    Calendars for you from anyone

Outlook in a new perspective. Today I realized that my Outlook calendar was missing all the Victorian public holydays. And I figured I'd give it a go to click the “søk i kalendere på weben”(in Norwegian)/”search for web calendars” instead of typing them all in. This link lead me to the Office Online site, which I’ve been to before, and let me put it this way; I was not happy with it. But anyway I’m on the Outlook site in Office Online. I type in “public holidays” in the search area. The search gives me some juicy public holyday design for sending e-cards to your friends, I furiously scroll down and see this link “Free Calendars for Outlook: Sports, business and holiday calendars for Outlook”. This site turns out to be a site that delivers calendar feeds to a numerous of different calendar types. You can even download a calendar as an excel file if you want to.
Everything from sports events to, yeah, some public holydays (not the Norwegian, but that was a long shot anyway). But the good thing is that you can make your own for others to download. You don’t need to sign-up or login to download calendars, but if you want to make your own you have to.  This is perfect for events where there is a lot of stuff happening, the user just have to download this one calendar feed to get access to everything that’s happening at your event.
Another lovely thing about the outlook calendar is that when I downloaded my Victorian public holydays it doesn’t force all the public holidays into my existing calendar, it simply creates a new tab in the calendar and makes it transparent so I can see the new posts without populating my own calendar. This makes it possible to have separate calendars for different stuff like work and personal life, but still have an overall look of everything that’s happening. You can just mark or unmark the checkboxes of the calendars you want to view from time to time. I don’t know how long this has been possible in Outlook, but I’ve surly never used it before!
