    Easter Holiday

This Easter has been really busy. We have been up north with our parents. We had a flight up Thursday 2nd of April to Alta (my home town), where we spent the first part of the holidays at my parents mountain cabin with my parents, little brother and little sister. We did a lot of snowboarding and a lot of relaxing in the cabin with games and goodies. Monday the 6th of April we headed down to the city again, and went diving with my dad and my older sister. This was to be Jonas first dive in a dry suit, and it went pretty well. I saw a crab that we call Troll crab for the first time at this particular dive spot.

Tuesday morning we headed towards Lakselv (Jonas home town), on the way over there we stopped in a bay for another dive. My sister and my dad was driving with us for the dives. The water in this bay was 0 Celsius degrees, and it was not easy to keep warm. So it ended up to be a pretty short dive. We stopped in this bay to see king crabs, but there were not one around, so my dad who was very keen wanted to drive further to get to a place where we could see them, and so we did. After some hours of driving we came to a bay, and my dad was the first one in, we finally got to see the much spoken about, and eaten, King crabs. And there were lots of them. The water was not too hot here either, just 2 Celsius degrees. The water is actually at its coldest this time a year, cause of all the snow melting into the fjords. Mid winter it is usually around 4 degrees, and be sure those 2 degrees they make a big difference!

The day after we headed up to Jonas' parents mountain cabin. They have a much larger one than my family and both his younger and older sister where there with their boyfriend. Along with little Aurora (Linda and Sveinung's baby), and Jonas' parents puppy Tryg (meaning 'safe' in Norwegian).

Me and Jonas hooked up with some friends of ours and headed up on the mountain on snowmobiles. We built a massive snowboard jump, and the guys had quite a performance. I stood for the photography. The rest of the Easter we pretty much spent on the snowmobile, going on trips around the mountain for snowboarding and fishing. We didn't get much fish though, but it was very nice just being out in the sun, and smelling the gasoline from the snowmobiles. That is the true smell of Easter.

Last day of Easter we packed up the car with all our stuff and started the 1500 km long drive from Lakselv to Trondheim. It took us about 17 hours to get there, but we made it! Havent driven that road for 1,5 year now.
